Mission Statement

To train, educate, connect, empower, and elevate Early Learning educators.

The mission of the National Alliance for Home-Based and Center-Based Educators is to strengthen the Early Learning profession by providing training, education, professional development, peer connection, leadership development, and advocacy for home-based and center-based educators. The Alliance also advances educator mental health and wellness, housing and economic stability, and sustainable workforce pathways through meaningful national and local collaboration with schools, colleges, workforce organizations, licensed professionals, community partners, families, and advocates.

Vision Statement

A highly trained, respected, healthy, economically stable, and united Early Learning workforce.

Our vision is a profession in which educators across every setting have access to high-quality training and continuing education; are valued, heard, and supported throughout sustainable careers; can obtain mental health, wellness, housing, and economic stability resources; participate in decisions affecting their work; and collaborate across education, workforce, health, and community systems to improve outcomes for educators, children, and families nationally and locally.

Purpose · Why We Exist

Close the gaps that divide and weaken the profession.

The Alliance exists because educators across home-based and center-based settings do not always receive equal access to training, professional networks, leadership opportunities, well-being resources, or economic support.

Research and Florida workforce data document concerns involving compensation, working conditions, educator well-being, turnover, and unequal access to professional support. Housing costs, financial strain, and mental health pressures can also affect an educator’s ability to remain in the profession.
